A Lucknow library, one copy of a Ghalib anthology and two people who both refused to wait for the other to return it.

Letters, not texts
Aditya moved to Pune for work. Navya wrote him a letter every Sunday, and he kept every envelope.

The first card goes to Shri Ganesh. A quiet morning puja at home with the elders, then poori, aloo and kheer for everyone.

Turmeric, marigolds and too many cousins with too much haldi. A long Awadhi lunch under the gulmohar trees follows.

Mehendi & Sangeet
6:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Mehendi from the afternoon, then a night of dholak, old film songs and a family dance-off that the groom’s side will lose.

बारात एवं वरमाला
Baraat & Varmala

The baraat leaves the Srivastava camp with a band and a white ghodi. Varmala at the gate, then dinner.

Fly to Lucknow (LKO) or take the train to Charbagh. Cars will run between the hotel and every event.
Weather
February in Lucknow: sunny days around 25 °C, cool nights near 12 °C. Bring a shawl for the pheras.
