A Rajput wedding invitation card that guests open on the phone like an old family pothi: tied with mauli, bound in leather, and painted page by page in Hindi, with a sarangi in Raag Maand. You send it as one link with your names in it.

How the pothi opens

The Rajputana Pothi design starts as a closed leather book with a red-and-yellow mauli tied around it. The guest unties the thread, the cover opens, and the pages turn one by one: the Ganesh vandana and a shloka, the invitation from your parents and elders, the bride and groom, each ceremony, and the RSVP.

  • Hindi first. Every page is in Hindi, in a Devanagari typeface made for print, with an English switch at the top.
  • Music. Sarangi in Raag Maand with morchang, dholak and khartal. It starts when the guest opens the book.
  • Maps and calendar. Each ceremony has its venue, a Google Maps button and an add-to-calendar button.
  • RSVP on WhatsApp. Guests reply with one tap, straight to the number you choose.
  • Photos. Up to 10 photos of the couple.

The Rajput ceremonies, in order

A Rajput wedding has more rasams than most cards have room for. The invitation gives each one its own page:

  1. Ganpati Sthapna & Ban: Ganesh puja at home and the first ban for the bride and groom.
  2. Pithi Dastoor: haldi and sandalwood ubtan, with folk songs from the women of the house.
  3. Mayra (Bhaat): the maternal uncle arrives with gifts and the chunari.
  4. Mehendi & Sangeet: often with Manganiyar or Langa folk singers.
  5. Nikasi, Baraat & Toran: the groom rides out in safa and sword, and strikes the toran at the bride's door.
  6. Phere: the seven rounds of the sacred fire at the muhurat.
  7. Preetibhoj: the reception feast.

Rename, remove or add any of them. Each one can carry a dress code, like केसरिया or साफ़ा एवं अचकन.

Both. It opens in Hindi, and one tap switches every page to English for guests who do not read Hindi. You write your details once.
